Narcoleptic Man: One Shot Special
Back in 1994, Tyim Courts asked Shane to write a script for his minicomic character, Narcoleptic Man. The resulting story was called "40 Winks at 80 M.P.H." and featured sixteen-pages of adventure as Narcoleptic Man and superhero groupie, Easy Girl, get involved in a high-speed car chase in an effort to thwart a bank robbery. The project switched artists and formats several times before it finally saw the light of day in 2000 as a full-sized comic book from Magnetic Ink. Art by Tony Furtado and Tyim Courts and featuring a second story, "May I Take Your Disorder?" by Troy Hickman. $4.00, 40 pages

Montreal comic artists gather at irregular intervals to draw strips, talk shop, and make snide comments about other artists who didn't show up. These comic jams result in pages that are a mish-mash of styles and content as each artist contributes their own panel before passing it on to others. The results are wildly eclectic, confoundingly uneven, and often very funny. What the F*** is a collection of these strips, featuring the work of one particularly tight and obnoxiously elitist group, of which Shane is a founding member.
